Fall weather is finally here and the Inshore Fishing in Saint Petersburg has been incredible the past few weeks. We have been extremely fortunate here in Tampa Bay with our water quality issues going on lately. Upper Tampa Bay has been free of red tide and the fishing has only gotten better for us lately with water temperatures starting to drop. The baitfish have been very plentiful around the flats making baiting up in the mornings a breeze. On recent inshore fishing trips in Tampa Bay we have been catching great numbers of Snook, Redfish, Trout, Mangrove Snapper, Mackerel and many more species. The Snook will begin migrating to their winter time areas where they will reside most of the winter in large congregations. They have been feeding very well on live scaled sardines and thread fin hearing. The Redfish have been found schooling up on the flats making them easy to sight fish on light tackle.
